Members

This committee will be subject to the Sunshine Law. Two or more members may not meet outside of a publicly noticed meeting to discuss district business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the Safe Neighborhood Improvement District are outlined by Ordinance Number 194 of the Code of Ordinances.

District Objective

The objective of the Safe Neighborhood Improvement District is to provide a safe and secure environment for the citizens of the City of Atlantis.

Board of Directors

The City Council is designated as the Board of Directors for the District.

Advisory Board

The advisory board shall be composed of no fewer than five members who shall be both owners of real property located in the district and residents of the district. The members of the advisory board shall be appointed by the board of directors (City Council) and serve at the pleasure of the board of directors. The advisory board shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by the board of directors and shall submit within the time period specified by the board of directors, a report on the district’s proposed activities and a proposed budget to accomplish the district’s objectives.

The committee will review and update the existing security plan. Areas to be considered include:

  • Perimeter Security
  • Gates and Guards
